What we sell
Fixed-scope packages and standalone audits are sold at the price, and with the deliverables, turnaround and revision rounds, shown on each package page at the time of order. Work outside the published catalogue is scoped and priced individually as a bespoke engagement, agreed in writing before it begins.
Prices and VAT
All prices on this site are shown excluding VAT (HT), in euros. VAT is calculated at checkout based on your billing country and VAT status: France — 20%. European Union, valid VAT number supplied — reverse charge, 0% ("Autoliquidation — TVA due par le preneur, art. 196 de la directive 2006/112/CE" shown on the invoice). European Union, no VAT number supplied — 20%. Outside the European Union — 0%, services supplied outside the scope of EU VAT. A VAT-compliant invoice is issued for every order.
Placing an order
Add packages to your cart, complete the checkout steps (contact, billing, review, payment), and accept these Terms and the Revisions & Refunds policy. Your order is confirmed once payment succeeds; you’ll see an order reference on screen and by email. We follow up within one business day with a brief questionnaire to start the work.
Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of order, using the method offered at checkout. Work begins once payment is confirmed.
Delivery and turnaround
Deliverables and turnaround times are stated on each package page and run from the date we receive your completed questionnaire and any materials we ask for — not from the order date. Delays in your replies extend the turnaround by the same length of time.
Revisions
Every fixed-scope package includes 2 revision rounds; retainers include 2 per monthly cycle. Full terms, including what counts as a round and what happens once they’re used, are at /legal/refunds/.
Your obligations
You agree to give us accurate information, the materials and access we reasonably need (brand assets, product details, login access where relevant), and feedback within a reasonable time so we can meet the stated turnaround. Delivery dates assume you hold up your side.
Intellectual property
Until your order is paid in full, all drafts and deliverables remain the property of upcopywriting and may not be used, published or distributed. On full payment, ownership of the economic rights in the final delivered copy transfers to you, for the use stated in your order. We may keep and display the work as a portfolio reference unless you ask us in writing not to. Authors’ moral rights, as protected under French intellectual property law, are not transferable.
Liability
Copy is written to a brief, not to a guaranteed business outcome; we don’t promise specific results (sales, rankings, conversions) because too much of that sits outside our control. Our liability for a given order is capped at the amount paid for that order, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for a delay or failure caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control.
Governing law, jurisdiction and mediation
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that can’t be resolved directly will be submitted to the competent courts of Lyon. If you are a consumer, you’re entitled to use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr) or to refer the dispute, free of charge, to the consumer mediator: [[CLIENT: name and contact details of the consumer mediation body upcopywriting is affiliated with]].
